We are going to Sea Star Taba for Xmas and the New Year. Has anyone sampled this resort. We have upgraded to all inclusive, whats the verdict on food, accomodation, entertainment and things to see and do localy.
We are taking my 12 year old son who likes to play around, anything for him to do and keep him occupied. Will we need a visa before we travel, can't see us doing much sightseeing so we will be staying locally in Taba
My only comments would be that there is construction going on at the moment, ( an extension in progress ) and the beach is a bit far - other side of road and a few hundreds along.
If you stay all your time in the Taba - Nuweiba - Dahab - St Catherine - Sharm area you do not need a visa. I repeat YOU DO NOT NEED A VISA. So don't let anyone at the airport tell you otherwise.
It s true... the Seastar is in the middle of nowhere. But then so is Taba Heights, and to a certain point Taba itself. Nuweiba has more to offer with a choice of hotels, camps, restaurants, better beaches and is very central for all the excursions.
Whats the SeaStar like these days.
Friends of mine went there AI in Feb - loved it. Spent all their time by the pool or on the beach. Nothing much to do - but good food, clean rooms etc etc.
