With 4 of you and the airport so close to Pau, I think the easiest and best would be a taxi. There are usually plenty just to your right as you leave terminal building.

Do you have any idea how much a taxi might cost? There are only 3 of us going and the flights and hotel aren't exactly cheap so we are looking to keep costs down wherever we can. We used to get the airport 'Navette' when we lived there before - do you know if this is still running?

Why not put Pau Airport into a search engine - this should tell you if the navette still operates! Bonnes vacances!

Sorry, don't know taxi prices as we always rent a car when we fly to Pau. Alsacienne is right, have a look at Pau airport website.

Not much difference in price it seems. For 3: 15 Euros for navette, 20-25 Euros for taxi.

Thanks for your replies - I'd already been on the airport website and couldn't work out why the bus only goes in one direction. Nevermind - I'm sure it will all become clear when we get there!

Just thought I would update you all on how our trip went. We landed a few mins late and then got out of baggage reclaim to find that the navette had already left. We couldn't believe this as it only runs once a day, to coincide with Ryanair flight arrival and there were still a number of people in baggage reclaim. The taxi cost 22 euros into the centre of Pau, and we booked the same driver to take us back to the airport on our return home - this cost 25 euros.

The weekend itself was a bit of a let down due to very bad weather and bank holiday closures, but we did manage to visit pretty much everything that we wanted to. We won't be going back though!
