2 ways to look at it. If you go December you don't have to wait as long but once you're back you might wish you'd waited until March i.e. you'll probably want to go again. At least if you leave it until March the season will nearly be over so when you get back you won't feel so jealous of all those people who still have their holiday to come. I know we went in December and I was gutted when we got back because everyone else was just going. That's why this time we've booked Dec and March. Just couldn't decide. Then again can you wait ?? :)

Yes your right :)
I can wait, with a little help of shopping for holiday clothes haha

I dont know why i bother buying loads of new holiday clothes, i dont end up wearing most of them, and they take valuable space in my suitcase when i could have used the space for duty free

hi
dont bother booking through brochures its so expensive, if you're brave you could just book the flights here online and then wait until you get there to get a place to stay or ask someone you no thats there now and get them to book it for you, and march is a lot quieter. Hope this helps. :)

I love late November, early December, sets me up for the winter. Have always managed to find a relatively cheap late offer flight and there are always loads of places to stay.
This year the plan is last 2 weeks Nov and 1st 2 weeks of Dec and then returning mid to end of February for another couple of weeks. I will start looking for my November flight around the beginning of October - although I check flight prices almost daily and am dying to book something now:D. The Feb holiday I will book when I get back

Roxey, you will be there (probably) the same time as us :D We fly out 24 November and again 24 February. See you there :wave

Sam, thats what we did this year :)
found a cheap flight with mytravel which was just over 2500pounds each for 2 weeks, and then booked into a hotel.

I found that flight about 3 weeks before we went as we arranged our visa's earlier.

I cant do that this time though, we are stuck to certain dates because im in my final year of my masters degree so ive got to go when i get time off, and my other half needs plenty of notice for work because his boss is a pain in the backside.

God, 2500pounds each for two weeks, are you sure? book with BA next time as they are very cheap, if you're just booking for flights.

Sam, I think YM meant £250 :!: At least I hope she did

:) I'm back Dec and March although don't know how I'm going to wait that long - I ended going on the first charter in October last year! There seems to be a shortage of charter flights this year, and they are expensive! I can only go for 3 weeks at a time but both mine are from Brum - easier for me. The rooms are now getting much more expensive - I'm waiting to hear about one at the moment - a bloke I was with March/April is still there and hopefully I will get a cheap one (fingers crossed).

Ive just checked on thomascook's website, and the price to most of the hotels have increased by 100pounds each in the space of 12 hours.

for the exact date, flight times etc.

We went in December last year and didn't book until September- just £247 each for 2 weeks

Might be worth hanging about to see what comes up, then if there is nothing suitable for December you have March as a back up

We're going in Dec :)
decided to wait and book in October.

CalHorn, who did you book with?

Thanks

I can't believe how quickly the prices are going up, I'm waiting until I get my bonus at the end of May before I can book our holiday and in the space of 48 hours the prices on First Choice have gone up £100 pp for the dates we wanted. Interestingly though the price for the week before has come down a bit so we may end up swapping weeks.

Hi Jules Before we booked our holiday for November we were constantly checking on the Thomsons website and their prices would fluctuate on a day to day basis by over a £100. Even although we have now booked, I still keep an eye on it and the prices are still going up and down.
We also got a fabulous bargain for the Marinha Dourada for Feb 08 with Thomas Cook. Within a few days of booking the holiday price had increased by over £300! I think once Thomas Cook realised how cheap they were in comparison with other companies they bumped their prices right up
Hope you still manage to get a good deal at the end of May, but with a bit of searching, I am sure you will, good luck :D

Thanks Gemma that's worth knowing, we're lucky in that we can be flexible with our dates so any time in February or March is ok with us. I do keep checking back on the sites pretty much everyday and hopefully we'll get a good deal when do come to book it was a little frustrating so see the really good deals when I didn't have the money to pay for them!
