Hi,

I have not personally done this but I know some Expats who live in Marmaris who regularly book boats for family outings. I believe the cost is reasonable considinering you usually get drinks/food in with the price.

Enjoy your Holidays :D

Just go down to the Marina, ask one of the boat owners they will sort it out for you.

We rented a gullet for a day last year from a guy called Senna (or that might of been the name of the boat) for 16 of us for £220.00 for the day. We boarded the boat at Marmaris marina at 10am. The boat was run by him, his brother, his wife and 5 yr old son. We had a fantastic day, excellent fish or chicken lunch (we were asked our preferences the day before) and melon. Tea and coffee after lunch and mid afternoon with biscuits. We had about five swim stops, wherever we wanted. Back to Marmaris at 6pm. The only extra cost was the drinks at average bar prices. All in all a great experience, very person to us, and different to the regular tourist double decker day cruise.

we hired a boat from Iclemer, it was a woman from Harrogate and her husband, and unknown to us at the time of booking their husky dog,
I have been on better ..... be warned.. she was extremely talkative and was really pushy for a tip !!
got really stroppy when we didnt give her one.

Look for an all turkish boat, never had a problem with these.

Hi,
We hired a Private boat twice last year. The price was £120 for 6 of us. We got picked up at 10am from the marina. it was just the Captain and us, he took us around the islands and then we done some fishing and swimming, lunch was provided to, and the boat was imaculate. I am sure i have his card somewhere, so will let you know the name of his boat if you want? :)

I would love to know the name of the person who hired you the boat and where it was from as there are 7 of us and it would be a great day out

'Cici' - we go on Monday - if you have the details of the boat I'd be very grateful !

I have just returmed from Icmeler tonight , having spent an enjoyable 14 nights there.
I managed to hire a boat for just my famlily ( 3 adults and two children ) for £140.00.
The trip was great and included an hour stop at Turunc, two or three stops at various picturesque parts of the ocean for some swimming ,plus a bit of fishing for the kids and a nice lunch. Drinks and icecream were also included , plus a selection of fruit in the afternoon.
The price included a pickup from our apartments and we were transported to Marmaris, where the boat sailed from.
I've never been on one of the boats that takes lots of people out, but from what I've seen, this was much better, and avoids exposing your kids to some foul mouthed drunk who's consumed too many cans of Efes.
It was arranged via a Turkish friend of mine and if anybody wants a similar trip arranged , please let me know and I'll contact him -
