hi anyone give me advice booked a holiday as far back as last year and due to depart on 7th june thomas cook called me today and have cancelled my holiday due to overbooking, was booked for a three star accomodation and now they are offering a two star. i thought booking so far in advance i would be fine.
Any advice much appreciated
Really sorry to hear that Ange. I've got no constructive advice to offer you maybe others on this forum will b e of more help. I just know that I'd be gutted if that happened to me. It's ridiculous how they can cancel at this short notice, especially after you've booked such a long time ago. Have you read the small print of the brochure to see what you're entitled to? There is a section there that's sub titled " If we cancel your holiday". Good Luck - I hope you sort an alternative holiday out.

ang, you need to act quickly here if you want to salvage something. You are entitled to a full refund as far as I am aware but best to check with the experts on the Holiday Complaints part of this forum.
