I don't know of any recent problem with this, but 500 euro notes are to be avoided. Most places won't accept them.

Think I am being completely dim here but I cant find any raised areas on all my 50 euro notes 800e in total. At least I hope I am being completely dim otherwise I am going to start to worrying that they are all fakes

Please help, can you tell me where abouts on the notes this raised rectangle is? I am off to Kos on Saturday so haven't got long to sort this out!

Just to the left of the large numbers on a note there is a rectangular shape (although angled at one end) and this is slightly corrugated. It doesn't appear so at first, but if you run your finger nail across it, you'll notice it.

I'm reliably told that this is not possible to forge, and in 4 years of trading we've yet to have a forged note, so maybe they are not as common place as some would make you think.

The one's to look out for are the 50's and 100's - don't accept anything larger than that - there's no point.

I guess it was the Alcudia Goodfellas bar and not Adam's in Magalluf, but maybe it was!

At least the weather and beach were ok!

Hi andrew yes it was the alcudia bar, thank goodness for the weather and beach, dont think we would have got through it otherwise, luckily we had stayed in alcudia a few years before at the delfin azul so knew a bit about the resort.
