Paphos is worse on a Wednesday.

I have arrived there on both a Saturday and Sunday, although busy, it's not manic.

At the moment when ever you arrive at Pafos airport it is nightmarish, as you may know the airport is three quarters of the way through a major and much needed rebuild, with new terminals and car parks, meeting people is difficult because you cannot park any where near arrivals, and the taxi guys are particularly aggressive to anyone picking a ride up, even if they are friends or relatives, on this point if you are using a taxi from PA do get a fixed cost, many have been ripped off by overcharging and refusal to use meters, this has been documented in our local press, get a charge before they attack your luggage, should cost no more than £20 to Kato Pafos..

Airport mod's should be completed by Christmas this year(2007), by Herms a french company who will also run the airport for some years to come..so I have been told by our French neighbours who are working on the refurb..

Thank you Jim we are looking at a visit 2008 as we have booked September this year back in Napa, so with luck and a tail wind the new airport should be open.
