Will def be taking our own out there next time. Very pricey in Goa in comparison to most things.
What about duty free in Mumbai airport?
European wine is still going to be expensive as it will be imported incidentally Goa is the cheapest state for alcohol (hence the bus loads of drunken Indian men you see wandering the beaches at weekends) you may have a shock at the prices charged in other states. - perhaps you should research if there is any decent Indian wine??
We had a lovely (well considering we were in Goa so maybe I should write drinkable ) white wine on our last night in March at the River View went great with the tandoori crab which was to die for I must remember the name of the wine it may have been Sula but I shall rack my brain.(which may take some time )
hi just found the bill it was Sula Sauvignon Blanc and cost 650 rps the rest of the prices on the bill if anyone is interested were glass of milk 30 rps, butter chicken 100 rps, rice 30 rps, roti 25, tandoori crab 1200 (which was huge) veg xacutti 60 rps, large kingfisher 50 rps oh..... bring on next season
Crumbly Lancashire cheese
Marmite
A bottle of good Merlot or Cab Sav
Cold air in your lungs (OK - just for half an hour!)
Throwing things at the telly when politicians are on
A good Sunday newspaper
A walk in the countryside
Last and not least - family and friends
Nothing I can't put up with, though!
Whats the matter with their countryside?? Take a taxi ride into the hills and you will fill your lungs with cool air as well!!
its always nice to feel a carpet beneath your bare feet when you get home.
quite as nice as ours..... and ours doesn't have snakes and other unpleasantries hiding in the long grass!!
Good point, goanluv - but it's not quite cool enough and their countryside isn't
no -but there is some fabulous green lush countryside away from the coastal stretch and if you are lucky you won't come across any snakes and you might see some monkeys!!
There's enough monkeys round here, thanks - especially on a Saturday night!
A couple of hours drive up to the Western Ghats is almost comparable to the North of Scotland. Stunning!
Only things I miss are my two Westies and made with butties with thick Ayrshire bacon ..... mmm
Almost Guess where I live (and we have Adders and midges) Mind you I know where I would rather live at least from October to April

oh sorry that made me laugh
TJ behave!!!!!
I missed my bunnies, although I did call home to my parents to find out how they were doing!
Only the same white wine as in Goa and alot more expensive. All alcohol is more expensive in Mumbai.
