I was looking for a gold ring, so would they be the best place to go then ? - Im not in a position to treck out to other resorts with 2 v.young children

There are some lovely jewellery shops. However, not necessarily cheap. A lot of the gold is 14kt.

I have had a numbr of rings bought for me and I have been very pleased with the quality.

The last ring I had bought for me - we actually bought in the hotel, but it was still good value for money.

I have had numerous pieces of jewellery bought for me and must say they have all been very nice. Quite a bit is 18ct and although there are some good shops along the front I think you will find lots in the old town to look at, these tend to cater for the Cypriots themselves and are not just aimed at tourists.
