As far as I know you can take anything food wise.
We came back from Malaga on Tuesday and the only restrictions were with regard to liquid (100 mls)
I know I took biscuits apples muffins pringles etc
Me again! How far away is Fuengirola Zoo from HV and is it worth a visit? Do the reps at HV offer any excursions?
You can catch a bus outside HV to Fuengirola bus station. Thats about a 5-10minute ride. E1.20 each way.
From here you walk about 10-15minutes to zoo.
FirstChoice reps dont run a trip, but they will sell you zoo tickets and give you a little streetmap of Fuengirola.
No need to worry about the food, we have eaten very well at every meal so far.
It is very very hot at the minute, had to buy a t-shirt to cover up
Going now, you will all have a wonderful time will post a review upon our return
Thanks for all the great info on here...
We've recently returned home after a week at the HV Turkey and now we are thinking of going to this HV next year in the Easter holidays (4th April), and have a few questions, which I'm hoping some of you will know the answer to...
*In the FC broucher it says that the Beach Club opens in April, is this from the beginning of April or later?
*Are the kids clubs up and running in April?
*Roughly what would the weather be like at this time of year?
*Are your required to put a deposit on towels if you are AI or is this just for SC?
*What is the difference between the regular rooms that sleep 4-5 and the select rooms? I know you get a pool/sea view with the Select room but is there any other differences? Do you still get the 'kitchen' facilities in the Select room?
I'm sorry if these have already been answered on earlier pages, but it's taking me a while to read through them all!
Many Thanks
Everyone pays deposit for towels even A.I.
Weather was very changeable for us and terrible the previous weeks, but think this was unusual.
Any other questions just ask or look at my prevoius posts.
What ever else you will have a fab time I am 48 and my husband 60 and we loved it there.
regards Hassie
yes the beach club was open
hi does anyone know if you should book the kids clubs before you go with firstchoice was reading reviews on another website and said you should as those children have priority to get in . r there problems getting the kids into the clubs then?
Thanks so much for all the great info!
I've been looking at the pics of the beach club, etc. - it looks great there.
We're undecided about when to go - either the Easter hols or May half term. There is a massive price difference but the weather would be better in May! Also think there might be more kids there in May, which would be better for our 2 - more playmates!! Not sure what to do?!?!
Does anyone know what the rooms are like? Do the Select rooms have the little kitchen area too? Is there a tv in the living area, bedroom, or both?
You can't book the kids clubs before you get out there. I'm not sure about the CDS holiday village, but the turkey one has been through several ways of putting your kids into the clubs. They used to be that you would book the night before, then it was you booked that morning, then they changed it to you just turn up and queue and its first come first served. I'm not sure what they are doing at the CDS at the mo, perhaps someone who is just back could confirm for us? When you arrive go and find the kids club and get a registration form straight away. That way, if you arrive early enough, you can get them into kids club that day/night. alternatively you can get the forms from the kids club reps at the welcome meeting the following morning.
I had a bit of a scary moment today when I thought we wouldn't be going on Friday. Little fella woke up this morning covered from head to toe in a horrible rash, which for a moment I thought was measles. Turns out he has fifth disease (slapped cheek virus) and he isn't contagious anymore now that the rash is out anyway. But poor wee fella, the sun will probably end up annoying him and he's quite hot and itchy. Oh well, at the least the pool will be cooling. There's a good chance it will be away by Friday, if not and you see a wee rashy looking guy he's mine, lol. I really hope it is away as I don't think I can deal with all the strange looks he'll get.
I phoned and booked swim kids yesterday too, I decided just to book it to be on the safe side as he's still saying he definitely wants to go. Roll on Friday, I'm really looking forward to it!!!!!!!!

me to cant wait i go a week saturday, on the first choice website it says to ring and book kids clubs after u book yr holiday and ive never heard of that the only way i found out as i had a look after seeing a review stating it. think ill just c when i get there. was so looking forward to it and counting down days but have had a close bereavment so put a dampner on things . ah well sure ill be fine when i get there as long as i get my head together to pack. looks like it will be a hot one showing 34 on bbc website.
So sorry to hear about your loss, a holiday will be just exactly what you need by the time it comes round.

thanks for that. hope yr sons better have u got a note from the doctor stating its not contagious. as the last thing you want is for them to kick up a fuss in the airport or hotel just incase.
rang first choice and they are looking into it as it does state on the website that you book the kids clubs in advance they are ringing me back to let me know. think it might have been a mistake but someone who has just come back advised to do this so i dont know. ill keep you posted.

Would be good if you could let me know if you find out.
Btw, wee fellas rash has almost completely gone already so no worry re needing a fit to fly certificate. Doc did say it would almost certainly have fully gone by Friday.
Thanks
Catherine
first choice rang back and said that they are looking into the advice as it is wrong and you need to book in when you get there. so looks like it will be deleted as its misleading. see you out there
I certainly will, and I'll probably recognise your accent too as I just looked at your profile and it says you live in Bridgend. What a small world, I have a friend who lives in Pyle and works in Bridgend college, rofl.
Thanks for update re fc, I thought maybe they had gone a bit mad for a while!

We got back form the holiday village last week.
You don't need to book the kids club in advance, you just turned up on the day. Get there on time though as there is sometimes a que. You need to register the kids first, by getting a form at the welcome meeting.
Regarding the rooms, I'm not sure on the difference to be honest. When we booked we asked for a sea or pool facing room, and we got both! We were on the 5th floor, and overlooked the main pool.
Hope everyone going has a lovely time, the weather is very hot out there. Make sure you get a parasol by the pool!!
I will post as soon as I get back. Thanks to everyone who answered daft questions for me.
