We booked our rooms the day we arrived in December 2006.

Then booked the flights; including Edinburgh - Gatwick, in March 2007.

Not planned the visa yet because we have to renew our passports first. I have got a suitcase of stuff already building up though.....sounds really sad but we're going Dec, Feb and March and I find it really hard to find things like bikinis and sandals in the winter months so have bought some bargain ones now and stashed them away. I'm hoping the kids don't grow too much between now and then. That's the first time I've ever done that.

Hi I always wait for the summer sales to stock up on Goa gear - saves a bomb the only thing I buy during our summer is sandals and then I finish them off and bin them before flying home!!! :yikes

Are the Visa's simple enough to fill out then?

How long before your trip would anyone advise sending them off? We travel late November by the way.

Salford the visa form is easy enough to fill in. If you have any problems im sure someone here will gladly help. Im going in December and will be sending my application in September, I would say that you will be fine doing yours beginning Sept too.

Everything you want to know is in this thread. http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=59848

Elliebee thanks AGAIN :) Your on the ball today, so thanks for being so helpful :)
Is there not a new form though? As on the other thread it mentions the price going up, but the forms which you can download haven't been updated since January.

Im pretty positive the prices haven't gone up, at least the form you download from the HCI site still says the same price - £30.0

Was just going off this link though which states £60 now:

It seems that that link is for a business dealing in visas and not your indian consulate.the tourist visa is still £30

Salford,You're not going til November so you dont need to use the fast track system-thats for people who are going within days and cant face up to spending a day queing outside the consulates for their visas. The link that you've got is that you send your passport to them and they do the queuing for you and then send it back for an extra fee of £30. Just download your application forms yourself and send it yourself for £30

Ah right, thanks for clearing that up backpacker33 :) It isn't very clear on the website.

Doesn't help that the PDF and Word Documents are different as well :)
Cheers.
