Hi all, does any one know if i can purchase gluten free products in Benidorm, mainly bread.I usually take my own but find that i have limited space and also the bread is all broken up by time we get there.I know the carrefour have a few items stocked but these are mainly cakes and crackers.I have found that they are not so readily available as they are in the UK.
Any info appreciated.

Mercadona definitely has gluten free products. It also stocks rice milk, soyamilk, soya yougurts and fruit sugar.
If your going further afield and make it to the Centro Commercial near Finestrat then the selection at Carrefour was excellent.
More obscure items can be found at the herbal shop on the hill opposite the Indoor Marker entrance.
Quite frankly, the UK supermarkets are lightyears behind Europe (if you look at most decent stuff its produced in Europe, Italy especially) and most countries have pretty reasonable GF products at fantastic value compared to our rip off 'free from' ranges!
Many thanks for your replies, have not been able to post back as my mum was taken into hospital at the weekend with a stroke and has been very ill.I am due to go to Benidorm on 6TH August, but i dont think its likely that i will be going due to my mums illness.
sorry to hear about your mum, hope she gets well soon.
