I stayed here 2 Christmases ago before the Great Dunmow Travelodge was built. This PTI is close to a retail park and has an attached restaurant.

It was average, no better than you could accept from the PTI chain, and had been well used because of Christmas visitors and shoppers. Although it was about 9 pm we were served in the restaurant, and the food was stokeable rather than a fine dining experience. We also had the pleasure of watching the staff cleaning up around us all over the restaurant and setting up for breakfast as we ate.

Hbrac, if you are looking for accommodation in the area of Stansted Airport, Bishop's Stortford town council and East Herts district council have accommodation lists which are very useful. Now I tend to stay at the Harlow PTI or Harlow Travelodge or Harlow North Weald Travelodge for cleanliness and no silly parking restrictions. I particularly like HNWT even though it's out of the way (by a mile or two) for its peace and quiet and Little Chef breakfast next morning. And if you go to the HTL or PTI, you can pay less for breakfast by driving to the nearby Tesco's for a cooked breakfast .............
