We got back on Friday. I didn't have any information from our trips in 2007 or 2006 for direct comparison but my impression was that prices had gone up by about 10%, especially wine when I looked at the hotel prices. But the main problem came from the exchange rate, prior to going we got 1.17 euro via the Post Office and I think that it is now lower than that, which means of course that your pound goes less far. If you are going in July it might be wise to buy euros now because the pound might be par with the euro by then?

Good luck, I am sure you will enjoy your trip without worrying too much about the costs. Perhaps cut out a bottle of wine which we didn't manage to do!

just do what we do and stock up the wine and beer with a trip to the hypermarket at san lluis

then finish off the evening with a drink at home
