It's up to the firms policy. We have always been able to pay the remainder 10 weeks prior to departure, and that has been with 4 different agents.

well i was happy with the price thats what matters im not to bothered with who i fly with last time i went i flew with monach it was a bit short of space but its only ten hours then i get off then its beautiful goa thats all im bothererd about

Sounds a good price for 6 people
booked march 2010 last week and the price has now gone down by £70 per person !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not happy

That's exactly how I'm feeling Chilly.. 
I was so pleased to get my three weeks annual leave but now I feel all over the place - worried that what I want to do is going to be priced out of my budget by the companies in India due to all of the increases. (I know it can be done 100% DIY but want a bit of security being on my own)
Soooooo, no doubt I'll keep looking at flights and if I get a good price book it and keep my fingers crossed
