 Hi,Julie.Me and my family went to Gumbet in May this year, and found it was vey reasonable to eat out, with some lovely places to eat as well. Two of our favourites were cafe de columbia and windy bay steak house. On average a 20oz poterhouse steak was 20-22 lira.Pizzas were 6-8 lira.burger and chips 6-10lira,chicken dishes 18-20 lira. Most places offer a free bottle of wine or 1st round of local drinks free, plus free bread or garlic bread, which helps a lot!!
We went s.c.and were glad we did cos there was so many different restaurants you could eat in a different one every night.
We ate alot in Aloha Christina in the daytime,a huge chicken roll with side salad and a small portion of chips was only 4 lira about £1.60 and there chinese in the evening was gorgeous, dishes were again between 16-20lira.
If you wan't full english breakfast with toast,tea/coffee roughly 7-8lira depending on where you went, hope this info helps you out,if you wan't to know anything else i would be more than happy to help if i can, love,Maz,xxx.

 Hi again Julie,no problem,i havn't stayed in any of the mentioned hotels, but some friends we made while we were there in May,were staying at the baba, they said it was a real nice place to stay, with good food,we did go on the baba boat trip, which was a great day out,and the food on that was very good! And we always used the baba's sunbeds while we were there, cos they didn't keep bothering you to buy drinks all the time, and the waiters were very friendly but not to in your face, which was nice. The baba is right on the beach front an ideal place to stay,we are thinking of booking to stay there our selves next year.
Have you been to gumbet before Julie?Anything else you need to know,i will try my best to help, take care, luv,Maz,xxx.

Hi Julie. You won't go wrong with the Baba. It's where we stayed on our visit to Gumbet. It was a fantastic holiday. The location is ideal and the swimming pool is lovely and large with plenty of sunbeds. The snack bar on the beach is great for a mid-day snack and the staff are very friendly. We used to start off our evenings in their crazy golf bar, which at that time was showing loads of 'only fools and horses' re-runs. We never go back to the same hotel twice but are seriously considering going back here sometime soon. Have a great holiday!

We stay at the Dilek every year, it's brilliant, really nice apartments, nice pool and bar area etc, the staff are fantastic and it is in the perfect spot, right at the start of Bar St, so not to noisy at night, and right opposite Cafe Columbia for a perfect steak! Check out the B & B prices, sometimes works out cheaper than SC and the rooms are a fair size too.

I have stayed in the Pakim Palace but I would not do so again. The Baba looked great I wish we had stayed there and will do so next time we go to Gumbet.

We got a late deal to the Parkim Palas last October.

It's a nice little hotel - well planted grounds and right on the beach. Rooms were very basic but adequate. Decent pool and surrounds - though rather chilly in October. Nice walk up and over the hills past the old windmills into Bodrum itself.

But the food was pretty poor. Continental breakfast, and the best part of the evening meal was the pickled red cabbage. Otherwise usually meatballs or chicken - perhaps they were emptying the freezers ready for the winter shut-down.

There are, of course, loads of bars and eating places within a short walk. Too much fo rus really, but it was a very cheap deal and we enjoyed our 'extra' week in the late summer sun.
