Your hotel is located slightly away from majority of tourist hotels, although it is close to the Holiday Inn (and there are hotels everywhere in Bangkok) but this will not prevent you from taking any trips that you may require.
The hotel (which I have no personal experience of) will almost cetrainly have a concierge service for the floating market visit - and many more. You are not far from the Grand Palace / Wat Po. These can be done DIY (dress appropriately and take no notice of those who tell you that the Palace is closed).
For a map of where you are located (interactive) try http://bangkok.sawadee.com/map/index_flash.htm - select your hotel from the drop down list and bingo!
Enjoy Bangkok,
Peter
You are a bit away from the skytrain by the looks of it. Don't take a taxi to your destination- just to the nearest skytrain stop. You will find it a lot quicker.
I've just asked for it to be added to our reviews. I have to say- it looks a beautiful hotel Are you going on to somewhere else in Thailand?
Thanks for the reply back , the map is a huge help. Can't wait to go , although i'm a bit nervous cause i've only ever been on package holidays before. Gonna try and take in a thai boxing match too ! But again thanx alot . Tracey
