I am loking for other peoples experiences of insuring their property in Teneife. My first years insurance was previously done in the UK,with a UK company and the renewal premium has just come in at £411 (yes pounds) for a 3 bed duplex on a complex. Last year I insured buildings and contents, but as the community has building insurance, whether there is a duplication of the cover, and if so does anyone know of a policy or broker who offers a more tailor made solution to insuring a second home? Having followed with interest the Palm Mar, Dinastia and El Mirador forums, I know that other people would probably be interested, especially those purcasing without a mortgage, where insurance might not be offered as a matter of course.
