Ive been to Napa in OCtober, but it will still be quite hot. I think Protaras will be a lot quieter then than the peak season, but i sure some places will still be open. The beaches are lovely too in October. Hope you have a great time.

Worry not. Protaras is "open" until the end of October. We were there 2nd week last year and I don't think anywhere had closed up at that time. None that I noticed anyway

As Pubdog said nothing shuts in Prot until the end of October. Still lovely weather.

HI the weather will be great in early oct, The rule of the thumb is when the clocks go back a hour a lot of places close as that is the start of winter, We have been 3 times in oct and the weather has been great all of the times, ( a thin top for the evenings wont go a miss) Have a nice one B Sully

Stayed in Protaras four years ago in the October half-term. Weather absolutely gorgeous high 70's Stayed at the Trizas apartments which were good. Good size bedroom and lounge area with a full kitchen. Right near the beach which was lovely but a good size swimming pool and pleanty of beds . Balconies off both bedroom and lounge. Some restaurants were shutting down as it was the last week of the season but there were still pleanty to choose from. The kids thought it was great that we had a view of McDonalds from the apartment window. Nice bar over the road were we always called in for a nightcap and the kids had a game of snooker. Resort was busy enough then. On a personal note I would have hated it in summer as I can imagine it would have been heaving with people, all in the themed bars, but enough to keep it busy in October. you will certainly have a relaxing time in October. Until the end of October, the weather and the sea should be great.
For me personally end of September to middle of October is the best time to go to the beach as the water is usually amazing, very warm and the beach is less crowded.
