hi looking to go to lasgaviotas bungalows [near pdc] in january ,there will be three possibly six adults going.[age 30--65] looking at staying all inclusive.
as we have never been to lanzarote we have no idea about
weather at this time of year around 20th jan.?
will it be warm enough to sun bathe?
is there much open at this time of year?
is there much to see/do?
is it really windy at lanzarote friend come back in aug and said it was?
cheers in advance bev
From my experience of about 12 Januarys - it is a bit hit & miss weather wise - but when the sun's out it is very pleasant indeed. But however hot it is in the day the night time is definately chilly - especially when the wind is up. (I'm a Costa Teguise fan and it is always breezy there) - so you will definately need a warm jacket. And sometimes it does get a bit cold in the accommodation as many do not have heating - so don't forget your PJs and dressing gown.
Early on in January a few places do close (to recover after their Christmas & New Year rush) but later in the month most places are open again - although don't expect anywhere to be hugely busy.
I hope this helps
