hi everyone
i just thought i would let people know, if anybody is thinking of going to Zante (laganas) i would defo recomend staying in the garden palace. it is a really really nice place to stay. the staff are really friendly and some nights they put quizes on which are really fun and a great way to meet other people.
there were families there(with young children) and everyone we spoke to said they would defo take there children back to stay in the garden palace. they even have a room there which has a pool table and some games for kids. which of course my fiance loved (what is it with men and computer games ect)
we stayed there two years ago and are defo going to go back, hopefuly next year.
if anyone has any questions i would be happy to answer. i have been to laganas twice.
kind regards
Mill
also who did you book with. many thanks
it is close to the strip, there is a short cut that not alot of people know about. if you do stay there when you walk out you have to turn right go through some long grass and it is only a five minute walk. The hotel owner will tell you, i wouldnt walk through there on my own though!! (its better to be safe than sorry)
we booked with co-op travel (we book every holiday with them) have you ever been to laganas before?
if you do go i defo recomend having a drink in the pink panther!!!!!!! (sambuca) and on a sunday have a roast dinner in the restaurant next door to it. we ate alot in that restaurant, really cheap and the food was the best on the island!!
anymore questions you may have i would be happy to help
mill
i was wondering if you knew what it was like as me and a group of girls are planning to go out there x
we will defo go back there in a couple of years, although i have heard it has gone a little expensive but a holiday can be as cheap or expensive as you want to make it!!!
go you will have a brilliant time!!!
We have booked to go to the Garden Palace in July, we that is myself, hubby and our son who will be nearly 10 by then I am so glad I have found someone who as actually stayed there as nobody seemed to responed about them and glad to hear its okay for kids. Our nephew and family go at the same time and are staying at the Rose Club I think they are at one side of the strip and we are at the other side so wont be in each others pockets too much. Did you take children with you and if so which bars and eating places apart from mcdonalds would you recommend until people get there barings around the resort . Any help would greatly be appreciated thanks
i would defo recommend having a drink in the pink panther bar, when you get to the strip there are always loads of people advertising the place. also have a meal in the restaurant which is right next door, we ate in there quite alot (especially the sunday dinner).
Also a good place is the lambarder(that is not how you spell it ha ha) that is closer to the beach (on the strip) we always had at least one drink in there.
There is one place right next to the beach i think it was called Brothers, i would not recommend having a drink in there!!!! we had one in there and the hubby nearly feel over!!
They said it was buy one get one free on the cocktails but for one cocktail it worked out about £6 in our money and it was only in a crappy little thin glass, the hubbys drink was about £5 (jack daniels).
The banana bar is also really good for drinks, they have a drink called the banana special and it was my fav drink.
The garden palace is a great place to have a drink and something to eat also. I always had my breakfast there before sunbathing.
when you are at the garden palace if turn left there is a restaurant about 2 mins walk (in seeing distance) it was a really nice place and very reasonable priced.
make sure you ask yarnee (co owner & always serving at the bar) where the short cut is to the stip it only takes about 5mins which if you go the long way it is quite a walk.
you will have a brilliant time, we will defo defo be going back to stay in the garden palace in a couple of years.
i havent got any children but they will also have a great time. let me know what you think. You are defo staying in a better place than the people who are staying in the Rose. (i would say that about anywhere though coz i love the garden palace)
IF ANYONE IS GOING TO GARDEN PALACE THIS YEAR CAN YOU SAY HELLO TO THE FAMILY FROM LOUISE AS I REPPED THIS HOTEL WHEN IT FIRST OPENED IN 2001.
THANK YOU

I would aprociate if you could give me any contact details to this place because I spent my holiday there and I met nice people who were living at Garden Palace. I lost their contact details and I would like to email to the Garden Palace to give me some details about my new friends. I don't even know their surname, only the details of checking in and out and their first name. I can't find any details or contact for Garden Palace.
