
I'm not much of a cook but I do like my own steaks. I usually buy Rump steak and cover it in ground pepper.
Heat a frying pan till it's hot then add butter and a bit of oil. When the oil is hot I add my steak and fry for a few minutes then ditto on the other side. The result is a nice juicy steak which is not quite pink in the middle. If you prefer your steak more well done then leave for another minute or two on each side.
