Recommendations for Goa?

My boyfriend and i are toying with the idea of going to Goa in April 06 for a week. Can anyone tell me if this is a good time to go and recommend anywhere? We have never been to Goa before and quite like what we have read about Baga and Calagute....

Goa seems a long way to go for one week only. I did 6 nights the first time I went 10 years ago and wished I had spent longer. The humidity levels are quite intense in April and you will require air con. Having said that it is still worth checking out.

Go for two weeks Min - flights are expensive over Easter so if you can go have a week before and a week into Easter week which is the first week of April - should be lovely weather and still lots to do and see.
