anyone tried ktel bus service in crete?

In June of this year my parents decided to take the family out to vilamoura for a weeks holiday in a private villa to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. I decided that it would be best to pre-book our transfer and choose Resort-hoppa. i paid £70 for a minibus to pick up us at the airport which picked us up without a hitch, though the driver had us down to be transferred to Lagos, which was incorrect, but after aphone call to his office, he found the correct address. On the evening before we left we contacted the number which we were given to confirm our collection the next morning, and were told we would be picked up at 6.30am to be taken to the airport. We waited outside our villa till 7.30am getting increasingly worried that we would miss our flight. Our maid turned up to clean the villa and drove down to the resort to get two taxis for us to go to the airport. We were too far to walk to the main town. We also had young children with us .These two taxis cost us another 40 euros ontop of the amount paid to Resort-Hopper. We got to the airport with ten minuets before boarding closed! Right up till we boardered the plane we kept trying to get in contact with resort_hopper, with no luck. since we hasve arrived home we have e-mailed the company several times with not much response. I too am also contacting my credit card company to see what i can do about the situation. I have also informed Resort-hopper of this

Terrible experience, do not use them, June 2006, booked and paid for a return taxi transfer from Malaga, to Marbella. When they picked us up from Malaga, they did not have a clue where they were going and nearly killed us on the motorway. We rang the day before return to check pick up time and confirmed 7:30... you can guess they never turned up, nobody answered the phone. I complained in email and telephone and they have completely ignored me. The stress trying to get to the airport on time after being let down was enormous. They are a total rip off and I have searched the net for complaints about them, I have found loads, where the same thing has happened, people are not picked up for the transfer back to the airport, but then they ignore the complaints. They must be raking it in from people. Wish we had done more reserach on them now, but the glossy website and testomonials seemed genuine. They are not.

It seems it is par for the course for this company to ignore complaints. The company i booked through wrote an apology and said the complaint had been passed on to Resort Hoppa but we heard nothing from them. Our holiday was in early june so it was not a peak time, we have been back twice since and it was heaven to have a coach transfer even though it took longer.

hi to all... ..i am like kevin i have never had a problem with them,.so must speak as i find i would reccomend them,.but if i had any trouble with i would soon changed my views,.but for now i am quite happy with that company.......regards to all.........john-doe

I often use Resorthoppa and have found them to be very reliable. Their prices in Malta and the Canary Islands are very good: about 30 euros for a return trip. I travel alone and have sometimes been picked up in a 16-seater minibus all by myself. They were 40 minutes late last week taking me back to Tenerife South airport and I did have to call to make sure I hadn't been forgotten, but this was a coach that was running late and I was the last one on it before it headed off to the airport. However, I would not use them in Greece. The prices for a single traveller in Crete and Kefallonia for example are enormous. And you can't get them in the lesser known Canary Islands like La Gomera and La Palma.

I didnt know that so many people had such forgettable and stressful experiences with http://www.resorthoppa.co.uk. I have used them for when i went to Rome and Greece, although i do conclude with one of the previous posters that their prices are very steep in the greek mainlands. The worst issues i've had are that they were a few minutes late, but fairness where it is due, i've always got my plane on time.

I used resort Hoppa for the 1st time in March and they were excellent no problems.

We have never used them but two years ago we were in Calella for xmas and several guests used them without any problems. My son has used them in Majorca and they have always turned up more or less on time. We tend to get fed up sitting on a transfer coach for nearly an hour, as we did last year waiting for two people to get on only to find out that they were " no-shows" and no-one had told the rep!!!
