Hereis a list of the limo companies in Las Vegas.

From another board I go to, Presidential and Las Vegas Limo seem to get the best reviews.

As for the restaurants, there are so many choices.
What type of food do you enjoy?
What is your price range?

This guy has reviews with prices for some of the best and most expensive restaurants in Vegas. Maybe you could get some info from reading his reviews that will help you to narrow down your choices.

Hope that helps.

Kaz,

Restaurants - definitely need to know what sort of budget you're looking at.

If money isn't too much of an object (within reason) then I would say go to Alize at the top of the Palms hotel. We ate there last year and it was the most amazing restaurant experience I've ever had - you're on the 55th floor with views over Vegas, the service was quite simply unbelievable and food excellent. It is pricey, but for a special occasion, worth it in my opinion. It cost us about £80 a head for food and I bought some champagne which cost $300 for the bottle - wine is cheaper obviously, but not cheap!
If you did want to go, email them and let them know it's a special occasion, ask for a window table - we did this and had a fantastic table/view.

For something a little cheaper but still a great experience - the Top of the World restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere tower is great too. It rotates (very slowly) so you get to see every angle of Vegas. The food is very good, still a bit expensive. Again, if you want to book, call the restaurant direct and ask what time sun down is in April, and ask for a table at the window (they have tables on the outer and inner circle) for about 30 mins before sundown, that way you see the views by twilight and then it will go dark and all the lights come on whilst you're eating, it's an amazing view.

Finally, for my recommendation, a bit of a hidden treasure is Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens casino, downtown. A lovely setting and excellent food, and it's not too expensive, an all round good experience.

Just to re-iterate, wherever you decide to go, drop them an email informing them of the special occasion, they always seem to make that bit more effort if you let them know (we do it every year)

Hope that helps

We have used Presidential Limo and can recommend them. You save 10% if you book with the online. We were $60 for airport pickup and a drive up the strip which took 45 mins rather than the full hour. Champagne and rose for the ladies included.

Rosemary's is supposed to be one of the best restuarants in Vegas, but it is off strip and would cost about $25 in a taxi to get there. We are thinking of trying Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris, directly across from the Bellagio fountains, for my birthday in May. Not quite sure how much it is for dinner, but lunch price seem to be around $25-30 for an entree.

I also recommend the Top of the World restaurant in the Stratosphere. I took my husband here to celebrate his 30th birthday.

We started our evening with a one hour limo tour of the strip with Presidential Limos, who were excellent. The driver picked us up our hotel (Bellagio) and drove us to the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign. He took some photos of us next to the sign before driving down the entire strip to the Stratosphere.

The meal was fantastic - we had the set menu. We both had a Caesar salad for starters, Chateaux Briande (sp?) for mains and the Tower for desert. Yum! I'd pre-ordered a birthday cake, which came just before desert with a candle on it for hubbie to blow out. Drinks, especially wine, was expensive, but it seems to be everywhere in Vegas.

The views from the restaurant were spectacular - it was so high that we felt as though we were flying. The restaurant revoles and takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to go the whole way around. After the meal we went up a few floors to the inside and outside viewing galleries (free if you've eaten in the restaurant).

The restaurant at the Voodoo Lounge is also very good (and also has fab views). If you eat here, you don't have to pay the $20 each entrance fee to get to the club, which the younger ones in your party may wish to do after the meal! There's a shuttle bus between there and Caesars Palace.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy where ever you choose to go!

p.s. We're staying at Casear's Palace for a few days in September, so let us know what it's like!

Hi all,

Thanks for all the ideas, will take a look at them all. I do need to consider the cost, as I will be paying the bill for all 7 Adults. Was thinking about £75.00 pounds per person. We had a great meal last year at the Paris, but was looking for something a little more special.

I will do a review once we have returned, it will be so great to share this experience with our children, we have patiently waited for them all to turn 21 years old so they can enjoy this.
