Are there any nice restaurants in the capital Panjim?
i remember a few years ago we went shopping in Panjim and we stopped off for lunch somewhere near the main shops, and it wasnt a tourist bar, they didnt serve alcohol, but the prices were like a third of what baga/candolim/calangute charged

Try the restaurants at Hotel Fidalgo, was put up there last year when MyTravel had a 24hr delay.... great food.

Is the public bar open in calangute?

We ate in Cactus Tuesday - my missus had the "best ever" steak Diane and it was very nice, shame my Xacuti wasn't up to much, the chicken Tikka was very nice. The best meal so far has been in Kebabs and Curries (999) cheese roti was "to die for"
