We got ripped off big time while visiting one of towns in Mauritius - Goodlands & Grand Baie.

Guys be carefull. The locals has 2 price lists. 1 for Locals and another one for visitors. A ice cream truck "red playing a barney song saw us comming and ripped us off. 3 ice creams over 800 rupees. it was to late to give it back as my child already started to eat it. The 2 guys drove off quickly when they took our money. When we realised whe have been ripped off, we drove to their next spot and asked one of they guys who just ordered a ice cream what he paid much ... Um,,, much less and he said we was not suppose to pay anything more than 200 rupee. When we ask the ice cream guy why we were asked such a high price they took off. I think it is the worst thing 2 do. Guys be careful, so many people on the flight back has been ripped off and i think this is a ongoing thing.
