Hi Netsie, :) Haven't been since 2004 but it is a good hotel. Have a look at the riu website they have loads of pics and you can see the pool area http://www.riu.com The seats in the dining room are only for 2 people, but they are in a line so you can get people either side of you but not at the same table.

thanks very much Serena. The pictures look lovely and i see what you mean by the seating arrangements. Thanks again Netsie

Hiya
Here is a video that I made last year

Video's of the area around the Hotel (la Carihuela) and the nearby Port of Benalmadena, can be found in this thread.

Hiya Glynis.
I hope the last entry in the reviews for the Riu Nautilus was a typo error
2 mins to the Benalmadena boundary line if you run fast maybe, but 2 mins to Torremolinos ...I'm presuming the poster means Torremolinos "town" centre, as the Riu Nautilus is situated in Torremolinos and not Benalmadena.
2 mins in a jet plane maybe...otherwise depending how fast you walk, anything from 30 mins walking on the promenade.
Or do they mean 2 mins to the gate.? :shrug

Thanks Jeanie.
I'm sure you'll have a great time, I usually stay in the hotel Pez Espada just down the road, but the Riu Nautilus would be the hotel I would chose if I couldn't get in the Pez Espada....we don't like change in my house
I've never heard a bad word said about the Nautilus apart from the staff can be a bit surly at times and the Germans make their presence known, but the location, food and service are spot on.

No I haven't got a downer on the Germans this week
Enjoy.

hi sanji

what a coincidence, the pez espada is the hotel we stayed in twenty years ago, they gave us a bungalow situated on the outside of the hotel. It was lovely and we had a fantastic time, sounds just as good now so might give it a go next time .been trying lots of other destinations in the mean time.

Hi

We stayed at this hotel in January this year, plenty of sunbeds around the pool straight onto beach through at gate by the pool.

Various sized tables at breakfast you can sit anywhere but evening meal you are allocated a table I have some pictures of the hotel if you are interested if so let me know

Gary

PS we will be going back to this hotel it was great
