if you use the blue navigation bar near the top of the page you can find both hotel and resort reports for this one
you have an excellent beach for children, which is also safe. There is a water park situated there too.
The hotel is up a slight hill but should be no problem. There is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill.
All the scheduled bus services and coach pickup start at the entrance to the hotel.
You should also try the landtrain which will take you on a tour which includes to 2 villages up behind hersonissos.
Thanks for that info. Booked it this morning! Got something to look forward to now and your info was very encouraging. Thanks
The Royal Belvedere is great. It's the only hotel we've stayed where my OH has said, "We will come back here."
Thanks Parky. Just google earthed hotel. Looks long way from beach. How long to walk to beach?
The walk is not too far, there is a mini bus that runs at certain times of the day. you will have to check that locally.
The taverna on the road at the back of the Kids pools is well worth a visit on an evening. Dancing and entertainment laid on.
If you do go down in an evening, watch out for the nutters on Quads.
The Lower pool bar in the Belvedere is great for an evening drink when you come back from Star Beach, it just breaks the journey nicely.
Ask at the reception desk if you can get discount passes for the Water Slides - the owner of the Belvedere owns the Star Beach as well. Some got them a couple of years ago, but we didn't as we only went in a couple of times.
Use the organised trip for the Water City trip, (not to be missed), as it costs €30 for a taxi.
Enjoy.
Thanks for that. Looking foward to it already! What is water city? Will it be ok for my 10 year old son? Never been to any of greek islands before. Always been spanish so any info would be great. It won,t be full of lager louts will it? Looking forward to family holiday. Been there done that if you know what i mean.
you should not have any problems around that area. the town centre can get noisey especially around the harbour. all i can say is
Thanks for that. You have put my mind at rest.
Other things to see are Vai Beach, Sissi for a lovely village, Stoupa War Graves, the Moonlight Chapel on the way to Ag Nik. 4 weeks isn't enough.
