Gosh I have just read on another forum that the Royal Gardens are now to be made into apartments 
My daughter learned from a holiday review site that the Royal Garden Hotel, Marmaris has been taken over and not working with British TO's.
She is booked for 2wks in July, and booked last year with Direct Holidays.
Today she phoned Direct Holidays and learned that her holiday has been cancelled, they won't discuss her options untill she receives her cancellation letter.
Here's hoping they offer equal or an upgrade without any charges.

Thats disappointing joolz. Lets hope she gets a decent alternative. 
My sister also booked with direct holidays last year and she phoned and got her's changed she told them she was'nt just taking what was left and wanted it changed and they did she does'nt fly out till sept. They had'nt contacted her either it was me looking on here and ta that i found out and told her '.
sorry also she had to pay £47 to get decent hotel as the one they were offering was not good at all . tell your daughter to check reviews first of what they are offering first before accepting what they give her as it was old and dingy.

Well after 3 days of telephone calls with various staff and Managers, she finally got what she wanted. She didn't find them helpful at all. They have changed her flight times too
