You can put the API information in at anytime and you don't have to do them all at the same time. Just log in to 'Your Booking' and you can see what information they require.

I would check-in a couple of days before you go for BOTH legs of the journey and print your boarding cards for both trips there and then. You can check in upto 15 days in advance so if you are going for a week then that's 8 days before your outward flight at the earliest (if you follow my drift) !

I believe they have, on occasions, insisted on only one bag to be taken on board and that includes carrier bags, handbags etc. At Liverpool, they would only let you through security with one bag never mind getting on the Ryanair flight !

They've clamped down on things and it's one bag only. If you checked-in online and only have hand luggage, you could take a couple of carrier bags and claim you'd purchased the contents airside to try and get around the rules, hence strictly one bag only. Some passengers were taking the proverbial to avoid paying for checked-in baggage and causing aircraft storage bins to bulge.

Good point there, I was thinking more goods bought airside and in a carrier bag. i would have thought hat staff at the gate would know which shops are airside and would allow a carrier bag from airside shop on. BTW, do they allow parents to take baby change bag as well as hand luggage? I'm pregnant with twins. If the answer is no then we're going to get 2 gymsack type bags and have things for each twin seperate with hubby and I having one each in the top of our hand luggage.

cate ... only one piece of cabin baggage per passenger is allowed, and that should accommodate handbag, laptop, camera, airside purchases, etc. Infants are not entitled to any hand luggage allowance.

Thanks David, so if we fly with the twins, I'm guessing easiest thing to do is hubby and I have bags close to maximum dimensions allowed, put our things in the bottom and then do the 2 gymsack type for the twins, he has one in top of his hand luggage and I have the other. Am getting 2 gymsack type bags anyway so that I can have clothes and things for each seperate in the change bag.

Don't be surprised to see people taking on 'hand luggage' bigger than the bags you have checked in :(

It's best to play by O'Learys rules and make sure you can get all your stuff in one bag if they happen to be picky on your flight.

Save your best glare :tut for those who MIGHT get away with it on your particular flight.

Flew with Ryanair to Reus from Luton, got back yesterday, yet again both flights were excellent. We landed early in each direction, the cabin crew were very friendly and information was good from the flight deck. Aircraft was in excellent condition but that may be more down to its age rather than Ryanair's maintenance?

But still I'm yet to be on the receiving end of the rude crew that so many people have with them. Never had a bad flight yet, infact I know I'm probably on my own with this one, but I prefer flying with Ryanair to easyJet.

Naturally I made sure Michael O'Leary got as little of my money as possible. Hand luggage only, Booked with Visa Electron and luckily booked before the £5 on line check in charge (this is the first charge they have introduced that has annoyed me because unlike the others its not avoidable, therefore why does it not have to be in the base fare?)

Anyway, that aside, another excellent trip.

Hi i am due to fly on FR7823 to girona from prestwick on the 3rd of july and the flight time is 14:00 but our friends fly out tomorrow the 29th of june and they have been told there flight has changed to depart at 10:00 will this be the case for friday the 3rd

Looking at the Ryanair website, it is only the Monday flights which show a departure time of 10.05am.

Perhaps you and I can start a new new club that won't be popular with the national Press nor the BBC and that's having something nice to say about Ryanair.

I guess to actually put this in writing and suggest such a thing may cause problems but I'm happy to also stand up and say 'I too have never had a problem flying with Ryanair' - my wife and I enjoy Ryanair flights (can I also say that as well).

We are talking about an airline that everyone moans about but of course forgetting that a near 60million passengers were carried over the past 12 months or so.

Well done TFS1 , I was begining to think that I was the only one who felt that way, I have never had anything to complain about, how could I having had many extremely good value flights ie two of us return to Tenerife total £104 and not one delayed and never encountering anything but pleasant staff. Are we only four of the 60 million ? I think not, start a Michael O' Leary fan club or would that be going too far. Haha :tup

We, as an extended family, have used them about 10 times this year and have absolutely no reason for complaint.

This is not a Ryanair complaints topic. We welcome all feedback about the airline, positive or negative.

I hope that no one is ever reluctant to post their positive experiences, otherwise anyone considering using Ryanair for the first time will not be able to consider a balanced view of opinions.

So if you have flown with Ryanair recently, please do tell us about the booking and flight experience.

another fan of ryanair.
i had a 1 hour delay going out of bournemouth last week, but we were kept fully informed at the airport and made up time in the air, so the net effect was quite negligible.
i fly to gerona about 12 times per year by ryanair and have never had any problems with staff attitude. i find them a pleasure to fly with.
the only thing i have noticed, particularly, is the number of regulars who groan every time they play the music on landing with their message about another ryanair flight arriving ahead of time.
i am as guilty of this as anyone, and can only suppose that we are all just moaning about the cheesey music and message, rather than the fact that we are arriving early.

ryanair provide a great service provided you obey their rules.
almost every problem that people have with them is self inflicted because people have not read the T&C's.

Just arrived back from reus to stansted flights very good on time but there seems a lot of confusion re the online check in. when I booked I could not do online because I had suitcases then it altered and I could so I printed my check in all well and good when we checked in at Stansted all the machines seemed u/s so it sent you to the ordinary check in which was no problem to us but people who had not used the online facility had to go to another desk the same thing happened at rues people queed at the 1 desk check
in and those with the online form were sent to the service desk for a boarding card the man infront of us was charged 40 euros, basically it was chaos.
Also at the gate before boarding the aircraft they wete checking the size of hand baggage some people really were abusing the limit and they were being what appeared to be turned away I do not know what happened to them either pay extra or what.
It was really noticable that some people had enorous cases as hand baggage it would have been easier to check them at check in.

My Inquiry concerns: adding a minor under Fourteen to a family flight, booked in April
My eldest daughter booked their homeward family holiday flight with Ryanair. Outbound with Easyjet.
This past week her friend's daughter (12yrs old) accepted the invitation to go with them, so flight preparations started.
The rules are clear by Easyjet and Ryanair: Minors cannot travel unless accompanied by a responsible adult over sixteen.
As she is travelling with people known to her, it wasn't a problem getting over that rule. So I went ahead and booked the outward journey with Easyjet.
Ryanair has proved to be difficult, if not impossible, to add the child's name by the online method. I've trawled the net for an answer and found several people who experienced the same problem. No-one has found a way to add a minor to an already booked flight. One suggestion was; Book the child as an adult (same price) and argue the case at the desk. The problem with that is the homeward flight is from Majorca. A refusal to board would be catastrophic.
For this reason I pin my hopes on HT to offer advice if not a solution.

I am no expert on the finer details re adding names to a booking. You mention problems trying to add her name by the online method - have you phoned Ryanair reservations and discussed the problem and possible solutions with them ?
