Hi Tricia ... perhaps you may already have seen it, but THIS page on the Ryanair website explains that the 'NOT CONFIRMED' message may be displayed when there is a delay in obtaining authorisation from your bank. That would seem an odd explanation in your case if the booking was made last month, the funds have already been deducted from your account, and you have been able to do online check in and print your boarding passes. If you are still seeing the 'NOT CONFIRMED' message via the 'Manage My Booking' option, then unfortunately it may be case of contacting Ryanair for clarification.
David
We booked some flights recently that had the flight times changed and we had to CONFIRM that we accepted these changes - could that be the case with yours ?
We did get a couple of e-mails telling us of the change and what to do.
John
They are not a barcode as such - not sure of the correct terminology - more like a scrambled up rectangle
John Google 2d barcodes to find out more, a lot of new fancy phones now have downloads for them so you can read 2d bar codes with you mobile camera. (Enough boring geeky info from me)

Checking in a bag at the airport will cost £30, up from £20. Doing so online in advance will cost £15, up from £10.
I am not surprised any more by this airline, I find the whole experience of having to pay for all the compulsory bolt-ons shocking when the vast majority of airlines include this in their price. Sadly I have to use this airline a few times a year as I am limited with time and they fly directly to locations I need to visit.
If/When they charge for using the toilet I shall be checking my seat is not wet before I sit down.

mmmmm, thats not really a nice thought in my mind right now!!
makes a change from vomit stains though!!
personally, about the add-ons i think that quite a few airlines are following suit and starting to do and already are doing the same , some charters now offer 15kg hold and charge, and offer the option to increase which is generally needed if going on a holiday.
its debatable if you think the charges are reasonable , they all just seem to round them up by at least £10 a time, a bit of lets see what we can away with.

I have the opposite view to you about having luggage included in the cost of the flight ticket.
With the cheap prices from my local airport, I can do inexpensive city breaks.
I don't want or need to check-in luggage for 3 or 4 days away - so don't see why I should pay for something that I don't want.
The vast majority of airlines (of a similar type to Ryanair) - BMIBaby, Jet2 and all the charter airlines such as Thomas Cook also only include hand luggage in the ticket price - they charge you for any hold luggage.

None of the charges are compulsory bar the on-line check in fee which can be avoided on most 'special offer' fares (look for the free online check in on the flight details pages)
We normally pay exactly what it says on the flight offers - no fees at all.
I must say that I was not impressed with Ryanair recently though.......we booked 4 flights to Ibiza for the grand sum of £19.96 then O'Leary goes and drops them to £1 each a week later - I've been ripped off

Come on everyone. The airline in question offers travel opportunities for many who would otherwise have to endure the British summer. The state of the airline industry is that such "operators" offer the travelling traffic more regional departures than the main stream, scheduled or charter operators in many cases throughout the year. Sounds a bit like typical British moaning going on (John excluded).
Who would ever have thought that BA would be charching for dredit card usage. They do. The free baggage allowance has reduced dramatically. The free meals on European flights now result in rubbish being offered and BMI who used to offer delights on short domestic service services as part of the overall ticket now offer a "pay menu".

Don't forget that Ryanair are hiking the price of checked in bags by 50% to £15.00 each way from 1st October.
So if you are going to book flights in the near future then get them booked in the next week !
John
In a recent survey over 20,000 pax said that they would like to be able to smoke during flights. The smokeless cigarettes will be available to customers over 18 years of age, charged at £6 for a pack of ten

RYANAIR GETS STRICT OVER PASSENGER IDENTIFICATION
Ryanair will no longer accept a driver's licence as a valid form of identification from October 1.
Instead, it is reminding passengers to bring their valid passport or a government issued National Identity card when travelling on all Ryanair flights.
It said passengers, who arrive at an airport without a valid form of identification, as advised and agreed to at the time of their booking, will not be able to travel.
Ryanair's Stephen McNamara said:"Ryanair has moved to simplify our identification policy to avoid passenger confusion."

For eg. can I put a book, mp3 player, camera and sweets in my pockets or do they have to be put in the hand luggage
I am a seasonned traveller, but trying to get away with hand luggage only.
Many thanks
Stuff your pockets Tricia!
Welcome to the OFD club (O'Leary Fee Dodgers)
The one thing that seems to catch people out is the liquid restrictions. Don't forget about the 100ml limit on shower gel, shampoo, sun tan lotion, deodorants, make up etc and stick them in that clear plastic bag.
John
Thanks for your responses guys - but what about my book, camera, mp3 player, sweets etc can they all stay in my coat pockets ?
I flew with them in August and stuffed my pockets with my book, sweets etc.I got away with it,you can't take a handbag unless it fits in your hand luggage,I was lucky cos I was visiting my daughter so just used one of hers.T.
Hi Tricia ... obviously the coat would have to come off during security screening and be placed in a tray to pass through the x-ray scanner. If you cram too much into the pockets which makes screening difficult, you may possibly be asked to empty the contents into a separate tray for closer inspection. But I have gone through security with a camera and camcorder in my extra large coat pockets.
Thanks for the advice, usually only travel with hand luggage with RA and manage to fit everything in but we are going away for a week this trip and so I thought instead of expanding the case which would then be outside the 55x40x20 I would put a few things in my pockets. Luckily the weather is a bit chilly at 5am so a fleece/jacket/coat is needed.
The prices for drinks/food etc.. are a shock to the system, so do without if you ain't desperate. The plane seating is great and found the seats comfy enough, but couldn't understand a word from the attendants announcements.
Thanks for the help some of you guys gave me prior to travelling
We would use Ryanair again.
