We find the '15 days' limit is a bit hit and miss. We have checked in some 17-18 days in advance in the past.
However, there is a limit. Just checked in for our next flight which is in a few days but unable to do the return which is mid July.

hi there does anyone know when ryanairs summer 2011 flights are out
Story in the press today about a flight going to Girona being on the runway at Prestwick for 6 hours with passengers on board! Strathclyde police had to be called to calm situation and give the passengers water after Ryan air would not let anyone get off the plane. They blamed strikes in France
.... or a brain dead manager!
It reminds me of a section in one of the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy books but that was supposed to be satirical science fiction not a business plan for running an airline!!
Wasnt only Prestwick that was affected .152 Ryanair flights were cancelled yesterday .Why did it seem to be only Ryanair though ???????????????????????????????????????????????? My daughter is now embarking on a 27 hour bus journey because of her flight cancellation and wasn't able to get another flight.
The problem with the Ryan air flight was that for 6 hours all passengers were sat on board with no water or food and Ryan air would not let them off the plane or open the trolley service. When passengers started getting angry and trying to get off the plane (it was a hot day) the airline call strathclyde police who brought water and chocolate for passengers. It was all over the Scottish news the other day.
I noticed the names did not match before we flew but did not want to pay £100 per ticket as it was the same people flying. I eventually spoke to Ryanair who reassured me that taking my marriage certificate would be sufficient.
In fact it was but I still had to deal with difficult staff both ways who tried to reject it before they were overruled by their seniors.
In summary, I couldn't relax either way but relatively painless and I did not pay anything. Would have been a lot happier if I could have got the names corrected for free before I went.
We have only flown Ryanair once before and my wife says they didnt call for passengers with children on that flight. But as far as I can remember there werent any children on that flight??
Anyone confirm who is right?
there are 2 queues.
if you pay you get on first, if not you get on with all the rest. ryanair don't care if you have children or not, only whether you pay for PB.
easyjet call people with young kids after the early boarders, so maybe that is where the confusion is.
Any idea how much the ciggies (L&B) are when purchased on the plane? Thanks.
Ryanair don't sell cigarettes on board.
I think you can have a look at their inflight magazine from their website.
Are all Ryanair and Easyjet planes the same size, regardless of the destination?
Ryanair have an all Boeing 737-800 fleet, so it's the same regardless of destination. Easyjet use a fleet of Airbus A319/A320/A321, along with a few Boeing 737-700's and leased Boeing 757-200 (summer only). In terms of cabin environment, there's not really any difference. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Once again, thanks Daz. Is there anything you don't know about aviation!?
I looked at flights from Prestwick to Lanzarote earlier in the week, Thursday out, Monday back in November, decent price so had a look at hotels over the last couples of days. I went on today to book the flights and the Monday flights have disappeared. Have they cancelled all the Monday flights in November for this route? What about the people who have already booked?
Been a few years since i've flown with Ryanair, In sept we are going to Majorca from EMA.
We have paid for hold luggage but I've read that check in desks arn't around anymore? If so what do we have to do?
Also do we have to book online? If not do we have to pay to check in at the airport?
many thanks, Beth
Welcome onboard
Everything is done online with Ryanair from booking to check-in. Bags are checked-in using baggage drop off desks at the airport, but you still need to check-in online. Details are on Ryanairs website.
