I have recently booked in the Metro hotel on 34th street New York.
After reading around the internet and viewing pictures and reveiws on trip advisor i noticed that a lot of the hotels that looked pretty good had very bad reveiws and looked scabby in pictures etc.

But the metro looks like a very decent all round hotel, i booked the package with Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow for 4 nights and it cost £610.

You will not be disapointed, its a brilliant hotel, we stayed there Christmas 2006 and loved it. There is an Irish bar a few yards up towards 5th Ave that do superb food (dont use the hotel resterant food is fine but very over priced) Sorry for going off topic.

The metro does look a nice hotel, its situated not far from the ESB. We stayed at the 30/30 hotel, no frills, but cheap and had lovely beds ! This time of year you should hopefully get good deals.
