none of us got food poisoning and none of us were ill. We didn't think that the hygiene with regards to the food was bad we just thought that the outside grounds were not as clean as other hotels we have stayed in. I wouldn't worry too much about it i saw lots of pregnant people there. Just be careful what you eat, everything did seem to be cooked fine and well done may be you should just avoid the omelettes
we stayed up the rd in the saadia an decided to go and see the entertainment at the sb because ours was rubbish, on the night we were there saturday 7th oct it was diabolical, everyone was walking out we had 1 drink and walked back to our hotel it was nice to home,
people i know have just been to the sahara and said they were all ill from the food, never again will they go there.
just wondering nutty net what show did you watch at sb. as i was there in october
well we went on our hols and thank god we are home. i hated every minute of it, all the entertainment (if thats what its meant to be) was in german and the food was awful, there were no lifeguards round the pool the list is endless. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!

Got a bit of a fright seeing your name michelle_jackson23.I thought it was little old jacko until i realised it was michelle.
We visited the s/beach 3 years ago,and we loved the place.I take it the standards have dropped .I recommended the S/beach to a lad from work last year, and he hated the place.
Sorry you didn't enjoy the hotel. Its a shame when a hotel which had a good reputation drops its standards, specially being a well known hotel chain.
Can anyone tell me how much the sahara beach hotel charges to upgrade from half board to all inclusive?
If anyone is going and returning from the sahara beach hotel by the 18th of Feb can you please find out how much the hotel themselves charge to upgrade from half board to All inclusive, i would much appreciate a response so atlease i know whether it will be cheaper to upgrade with the holiday reps or the hotel direct.
You Could Email Iberostar
thanks guys for the reply i emailed them a while ago twice but i have still not heared from them.
Unfortunately I've found the problem with hotels in Tunisia is that they don't always reply to emails. Last April I booked the El Hana Residence via email without any problems but when I emailed them for October I had no response so booked Sousse Palace through lowcostbeds. Whilst out there I called into the El Hana and was greeted like an old friend. They seemed quite surprised when I said I wasn't staying there as they hadn't replied to my email. I've had the same problem with the Marhaba so it seems it can be quite a common thing.
I was under the impression that the hotel only do all inclusive high season and half board low season - I'm going in 10 days and could only get half board.
Just for info the Sahara Beach Hotel have confirmed it costs 25 Dinar per person, per day to upgrade from Half Board to all inclusive, which works out at about a tenner a day! Not bad for lunch plus drinks!
Regards
We stayed last June and had a fantastic time, food wasn't the greatest however I'm quite fussy and I could always find somthing to eat
Come On Don't Be Shy !!!
Can anyone who has visited this hotel recently tell me if the rooms have a fridge or can one be hired.
Many thanks for any help given.
David
But My Last Visit Was 2005
