We buy Heinz salad cream in Colva and Benaulim...bit pricey but necessary as we stay long term.

Thanks cocopop, we aren't staying down South, so i think i might just take a jar with me, or live without it for 2 weeks.

Hi GFF, could you tell me which shops i could get it from?

Christmas dinner, i do put a bit on, but i don't like it with gravy, so i tend to dip the meat in the salad cream, and just put gravy on the veg haha

hi
hate to state the obvious but why dont you take a couple of bottles?? i always take vegemite (like it on toast for brekkie!!)if your worried about it sitting around in the heat when your out if you buy a small cooler like the ones designed for kids school lunches you could cart it around with you

i had a friend who put salad cream on everything -roasts,bacon and eggs, beans on toast and spagetti bolognese-nothing was safe!

Yummymummy... I am known for my love of salad cream (although not on me roast!!)

I love salad cream on toast or Jacobs cream crackers. Must say ive never had the urge to put it on a Roast.

Do you not have to be careful of the sauces in restaurants out there E.G tom sauce and mayonnaise?

Saying that though i did have mayo on my cheese toasties from the shacks.

Hi Yummy,
The closest place to where you are staying that sells the stuff you crave is Prime Shop on the Baga Road.

I think it's Lawanda supermarket where you have seen salad cream, they sell just about everything, even John West tinned salmon. We usually have a couple of shopping trips there, but will give the new supermarket in Candolim a go when we are there in March.
