We're off to the San Miguel Hotel for the third time on the 11th June for 2 weeks
Lucky you Pooh E 2.Sounds good to me.
I am off on the 27th of August for 10 days, will be my 5 time there and i can't wait :-)
hi all,we are going on the 2nd august and also it`s our 5 time :cheers.
We are going on 24 July for 2 weeks- think its our 7th visit but have lost count!!! Really looking forward to it but think it will be our last time in San Miguel as it is probably going to be our last family holiday and next year will be looking for a couples venue whilst both daughters arrange their own holidays!
We've spoken on here several times before and it looks like I might meet you this year. We hope to go those two weeks as well, Just got to confirm my holiday dates from work.
We go on the 16th June for 2 weeks. It will be our first time. We have 2 children age 7 & 5 so I guess it will be great for them. I'm keeping an open mind about what to expect as i've seen some differing reviews but to be honest we are a really easy going family and as long as the food is edible, drinks drinkable, weather sunny, sea warm & kids happy we'll have a ball!!!

You will have a ball
Does anyone know anymore about the bar being only all inclusive until 11.00 this year. is the bar going to be open to buy drinks up until 12 like the galeon? I hope so or security are going to be ushering us all home at 12.00. will be sad if thats the case - we have had some great nights at san miguel.
Being Scottish, with the bar shutting at 11 o'clock. I've got the best solution. When you get on the plane don't put your watch forward an hour.
HI all, My family & i are due to go to San Miguel on the 3rd may, I will try to get all the details on the closing times of the bars while im there & any other things that will be useful to you all...I will go over to the excursions shop & post you...
hi i am going for the 3rd time on the 9th june for 2 weeks and i am very excited i can't wait ,i see some of you will be there too ,i am staying in the san miguel hotel this time ,for the first time so see you all there ,yippee
My 3 children and I stayed in this hotel in 2006. I must say that there wasnt much to do here. Basically theres a pool which smells very strongley of chlorine and a small beach. It was a nice holiday but i wouldnt go back there x
I don't recall a pool smelling of chlorine and feel that the beach is of a more than adequate size for the resort.
Of course being a small resort, there is not a lot to do, unless you like playing football (beach and hardcourt), tennis, table tennis, volleyball, water polo, archery, pistol and rifle shooting, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, quizzes around the pool, water aerobics or cycling - all included in the price.
Of course if none of the above appeal to you, you could always relax around the pools, wander across the road to the mini golf, take a morning of afternoon trip on the mini train, try a trip on the glass bottom boat, hire a speed boat, have a go on the banana boat ride or a pedalo, or visit the caves.
Failing that, you can spend from 8 in the morning untill 11 at night eating yourslef silly, or drinking yourself into a coma in any of the many bars.
The kids can go off to the kids clubs and drop in centres and enjoy loads of other activities and entertainment.
As a few other people have mentioned, the evening entertainment is pretty good too.
Anyone going the middle two weeks of August? If so we'll see you there.
Can't say I noticed the chlorine during the day but it can be strong at night when its closed. What I love the most is that there's loads for kids to do to keep them occupied meaning that we can either relax or take part in the activities as we choose
micknmill, one day we may end up there at the same time. I think in 2006 you were there before us by a little while, we didn't go 2007.
Then we were going to go last week of July & first week of August, but due to family commitments we can't go then either. So it's middle two weeks of August.
The kids are counting down already.
See ya one day.
Well, holiday all paid for - countdown now - June 16th here we come!!!!!!
We are so excited because this time next week we will be sitting beside the pool at the beach club :hyper...Unless the fuel strike affects the flights :(...I will do my best to post any details that i think you should know...Cheers people
Can you let us know about the bar closing times this year when you get back please?
Have a good one
Mick.
