Hi
can anyone help me with info on San Stefanos, I like what i've heard so far (not much)
We are looking to have a holiday in july/Aug in a group of around 12 of us including a couple of teenagers in the party.
I realise its a laid back resort ,thats how we like it, a couple of livelier bars would be a bonus and a nice sandy beach with safe shallow water would be even better. Has anyone been there recently and if so can you recommend any nice accommodation ( don't mind apts or hotel).
Thanks
Mel
http://www.san-stefano.gr lots of info on the place, and accommodation aswell, if you fancy a DIY holiday.
Hi Crockergirl. Been to Corfu, but not San Stefanos. We`were looking to stay there, but found a better deal in Roda, which is a lovley place. Anyway, take a look at
http://www.villatereza.com we stayed here last year, really nice, nice pool area, pool table for the teenagers. Family lovely and friendly, up a bit of a bank but not too bad, just 5 mins down and on the beach or the main street with tavernas and bars. No good if you like shopping not thaat many shops but we loved it as do many people who stay here.
San Stef is a beautiful place not a lot of shops but the beach is great, good selection of eating places and bars try Bar 38 and the Condor they can get very lively with some live entertainment. Have a look at http://www.perroshotel.com.

Heard back from the perros and they have the rooms available for the dates we want! Also managed to find flights so we just need to get together properly so We can all agree but it looks highly likely that san stefanos will be our chosen venue (fingers crossed) sounds delightful though.
You do know there are 2 resorts called St Stefanos on Corfu don't you? One's on the east coast and the other's on the west coast. Make sure you know which one you're thinking of before you book anything If you're not sure, have a look at the two descriptions here -

Yes luckily I discovered that the one we wanted was the sandy one next to Arillas before I booked.
Yes all booked now , staying at the Perros hotel yippeeeeee ! thanks
Mel
You will love the Perros we go back again in June the staff are fantastic and will go out of there way to make sure you have a great holiday.
Hope you have a lovely time.

Yes the lady from the perros has been so helpful already to us and seems lovely.
Our party is growing by the day now, its 13 for the first week and up to 17 for the second!
We have 2 two mens 50th birthdays ( one of them my husbands) to celebrate there ,and mine is somewhere in amongst it all too.
Is there anywhere you can think of that would be a special place to celebrate for them or any ideas of a good trip we could do? Also as we have a few teenagers and twenty somethings in our party I was wondering if its possible to get a cab into Sidari for them if they fancy any livelier evenings out?
Can't wait
Mel
Have a look at http://www.san-stefano.gr plenty of trips.
The meals at the Perros are great and if you ask Nicola she could maybe organise a birthday cake for you. There is a home bakery in San Stef. Bar 38 and the Condor have some live entertainment usually don't start till 10pm. No problem getting a taxi to Sidari i think its approx 15 euros.
You could also try the Thomas bay hotel we have never been there but it gets good reviews. Mel there are lots of eating places you will be spoilt for choice.
Have a great time
Cathy
Thanks Cathy looks good. I saw they have horse riding which will please one of our friends girls.
This is a good link for entertainment and bars too
There are lots of great places to eat in San Stef. The Romanza Hotel, Olympia,Ozzy Oils and Beachcomber may be the more elite places to eat if you want somewhere special. Having said that wherever you eat will be great. We have never had a bad meal in San Stefanos in all the years we have been going.
