Anyone got tips where to satya in Sadinia ..we thinking of june and Alghero area ...advice needed re apartments please
We're going in July hopefully, the area to go seems to be alghero, as it remains it's culture and beauty, yet it's the more touristy area on the island, from reading up, i might suggest th Oasis Hotel seems to be very child oriantated, hope this helps!!
We've just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Alma in Alghero. Easy to get to...less than 1 euro on the airport bus. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a good buffet breakfast and great staff. The location is on the beach front and about a 15 min walk to the 'old town'. Would recommend it to anyone.
I have asked for the Hotel Alma to be added to our reviews site. Perhaps you would like to add a review once this has been done.
sure, let me know when it's there and I will
Here you go
Well at last after venturing through many forums on this website, and having lots of help from you people, me and my girlfriend have finally decided that we are going to Alghero, Sardinia for a week at the beginning of July, hopefully it will be nice and hot?!
Have a great time and don't forget to come back and tell us all about it.
I will do indeed, I have to go through that annoying wating period now
What's the best way to get around? Car hire?
Hi, off to the south of the island in June with girlfriend - any tips on hotels/carhire/places to go?

For all those people going/thinking about going to Alghero Sardinia, I have recently come back. I have added a hotel review (The Hotel Club Rina) and a review of the resort.
We are planning to go to sardinia in June 2008. In our party ther is 3 adults, a 4 year old boy and a toddler.
Can anyone on what the weather should be like?
Also, please can anyone tell us an area to stay that would be suitable.
We would prefer nice beaches (not to rough), good fresh food, somewhere not too busy and we like wildlife so anywhere where we are not too far from the countryside.
If anyone can give us good advice, I would really appreciate it. I have heard sardinia is a lovely place but am not too knowledgable on about the island.
Many thanks.
John.
Merged with existing topic which may have some information.
Does anyone know what the changeover days are for self catering accommodation or even better know anywhere that is flexible? I don't want to book flights and find I can't book any accommodation!!
If you have a car and feel fit enough then drive to the caves of neptune and take the 600+ steps down the side of the cliff to the caves.
Everywhere I visited around the coast there was evidence of persistent strong winds, these pics were taken in the Platamona area.
This is at Stintino, that wall of water must have been between 10 to 20 feet high.
Visit Argentiera if you have time, a "real life" ghost town, like a scene from the old wild west.

Thanks for the photos Andy. You may also wish to post them in our Photo Gallery so that they are not lost as the topic drops down the page.
They are stills I captured from some video I took, when I get time I'm going to see if I can chop the video into small chunks and put them in the video gallery, but I fear I may find it challenging.
