just picked up my tickets for golden sands on 7th june and the thomson in store advisor said not to change any money in bulgaria at all, even at the banks, this is the scary bit - he said there all run by the mafia!he said he was a rep there until recently and to trust no one and that includes the banks.
should i worry
last year we stayed in the victoria palace and the word on the street was that it was owned by the local mafia but they didn't bother anyone.
