Hi all

First post.

We are looking to go away in July and one of the possibilities is Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We normally holiday around the Caribbean and it's my wife's favourite sea, and she loves the sea in general.

As Puerto Vallarta is on the west coast of Mexico, this would put us on the Pacific : can anyone tell me what the sea is like? Temperature, colour, depth, how rough it is etc.

Also, if anyone knows what the sea is like in Cape Verde, then that would be great too. I've heard it can be rough with strong currents, but does that mean you can't swim in it?
