My partner and had wished to go to Tenerife in mid/late April ( Self Catering but we are flexible ) and also take her Dad with us. He had a stroke a couple of years ago and his mobility is quite limited, hence the pre-requisite of disabled / wheelchair access.
After a couple of weeks of searching and coming up against brick walls as regards flight timings, we have widened our search to include Lanzarote as well.
Hoping a few of you regs can give us some personal experiences and also some ideas as to accommodation to suit.( Preferably,,Close to Sea, Near enough to shops etc. )
Many Thanks In Advance.
Ian.
Hi Nautilius Bungalows in Matagorda in Lanzarote seem to have good disable facilities , specially adapted rooms . when we stayed there was a few people using wheelchairs , A Nice small quite complex near to the beach.
We have stayed at the Galeon Playa in Costa Teguise- good position and have adapted rooms. In fact we are returning for our 3rd visit this summer. Can also recommend La Penita in Puerto del Carmen- they also have adapted rooms. Hope this helps
