While I have sent gifts to Tunisia in the past I would not send either whisky or cigarettes through the post. You have to complete a customs declaration of the parcels contents and I feel that anything listing whisky and cigarettes just would not arrive. But if it did there probably would be duty to pay at the Tunisian end. If you go back just take it with you.

Frankly I don t know if the Tunisian post is 100%. I sent a card from Tunisia to my friend in neighbouring Algeria and she never got it. None of the postcards arrived in Ireland or France neither. My friend told me theres no point sending things to her home address when shes home. She says virtually all parcels just get opened. Though maybe its different in Tunisia.
I imagine a bottle of whisky would be heavy and expensive to post. And there might be risk of someone taking it seen as its so expensive in Tunisia. You could send it by registered post. (you pay a bit extra but your present is covered for a certain ammount).
Once when my mother sent me a parcel to France with some Cadbury chocolate as there is none over there, Guess what. Parcel arrived without the chocolate and had visibly been opened it was awful to recieve to recieve an empty parcel
