I was wondering about sending over some whisky to some friends, would it get there? What would be the best way to send it? and would they get charged for it? and how about siggs aswell???
Its just to say thank you for a lovely holliday to some staff at the hotel i stayed in, i've been keeping contact with them since my return...
While I have sent gifts to Tunisia in the past I would not send either whisky or cigarettes through the post. You have to complete a customs declaration of the parcels contents and I feel that anything listing whisky and cigarettes just would not arrive. But if it did there probably would be duty to pay at the Tunisian end. If you go back just take it with you.
I imagine a bottle of whisky would be heavy and expensive to post. And there might be risk of someone taking it seen as its so expensive in Tunisia. You could send it by registered post. (you pay a bit extra but your present is covered for a certain ammount).
Once when my mother sent me a parcel to France with some Cadbury chocolate as there is none over there, Guess what. Parcel arrived without the chocolate and had visibly been opened it was awful to recieve to recieve an empty parcel
i have sent many presents to my fiancein tunisia and he has recieve them all ok i sendthem recorded delivery where they have to sign for it it may cost more but its got the presents there. i duno if they will allow ciggs and wiskey tho u could try
