I have a Ryanair flight booked for next week, I have recently had a Ultra sound Scan and was then referred to a Special Centre for Sarcoma (Cancer) on Monday, the Consultant wants me to have an MRI Scan. I have contacted Ryanair trying to get a refund under the "Death or Serious Illness" they say No ! Is this correct ?
Question 2 Thinking positively if I rearrange the flight, do I lose the money I have paid for E/L seats and bags ? as well as paying a fee for a change of date ? Or is it just best to start again ?
Many thanks
Sorry to hear of your news. Did you take out travel insurance? That should be your first port of call, making a claim on that.
Darren
Very sorry about your sad news, I assume that you took our Travel insurance, and they should be the ones to contact, whilst it may seem that Ryanair are being harsh, they would normally direct you to your insurance policy that you would take out prior to travel, and any claim would be made under that policy
Many thanks for your prompt responses. Yes I do have travel insurance with £100 excess !
