According to an article featured on Goan Voice website, the ruling Congress Party (CLP) met tonight (Thursday) and are recommending that all beach parties are cancelled between Dec23 and Jan5.

There seems to be many conflicting reports. I think the only thing anyone can do who is in or going to Goa for Christmas is wait and see what happens. Have a positive attitude to enjoy yourself and all will be well. After all I know we all love the Beach parties at New Year but do we really need to be on the beach to enjoy ourselves.

Minister Kamat has said now that shacks/shops/ nightclubs can remain open, think he was under heavy pressure from everyone and realised this would be the final nail in goas coffin he if implemented this rule, dont know if the 12oclock rule about music on special days will apply, but music any other days has to be stopped at 10 oclock
