briar is absolutely correct, weather fantastic.. adequate sunbathing hours, sea and pool only a bit cold at least for me, gets a bit chilly by sundown and some evenings are bit cold but still lovely, only occasionally you get a few clouds and some showers but they don't last long.

all in all: perfect compared to any other place in the world in december.

except maybe australia

Hubby and I went to Sharm last April and had fabulous holiday so decided to return for the new year, I did ask regarding what the weather would be like and several people told me I would need a cardie etc for evening..........so thats exaclty what we took. We love the sun so day 1 down to the beach by lunch time we were wrapped in towels with spare sunbeds upended to stop the wind and the sea was very cold lol, I had to buy t-shirts as I only had 1 with short sleeves rest vest tops I also had to buy some tights which was a task in itself for new years eve as the gala dinner was semi outside. The weather did pick near the end of holiday but we didnt get much sunbathing in.

If I was you I would take light jacket and trouser for the evening.

goanaddict, i'm sorry you been terribly unlucky, i went once and stayed for three days and it was cold, cloudy and rainy all through.. but on many other occasions the weather was just fantastic in december.
