hi medot
good luck!!! hope you can sort it. it will be our 1st time to sharm so we'll probably just have to trust the taxis don't rip us off too much !!! :thanks

hi gorjulin.

just read your other post about staying at the hyatt regency. thats at one end of naama bay. getting into the main part of town will only take, i would think, about 10-15 minutes by taxi. just haggle for a price, stick to it, and you can't go wrong...and make sure you pay the driver after getting out of the taxi!!

there is another...not so good map here. you may find that this fives you a clue where your particular hotel is. medot.xx

Hi
Ive been looking at the maps mentioned above and think they are really good-except I dont seem to be able to locate the LTI Grand Azure
Am I missing it or is it not where I think it is in Nabq Bay?
Any help appreciated.

Welshlass,

The LTI Grand Azure is listed on that map as Tropicana Grand Azor Resort. Grid ref O2 hotel number 275.

This map is base on Google Earth, which has been posted before on this site. Amazing satelite shots of ANYWHERE in the world, in this case sharm.

The only problem at the mo is there are no hotels etc listed. This can be changed though, and we have the power to do it :sun

If you download the program that runs google earth and register you can list places of interest, and that includes hotels yipee

You can get the program HERE

Many thanks to Everest for the original post :thanks

I have been to Luxor 3 times and am looking at November and going to Sharma. I want to be near th ebeach and all th ecrazy shops and food places, what hotels should I be looking at please?

Have a look at these maps to find out where each hotel is located.
There may be one or two of the really new hotel missings, but these will probably be covered by their own websites.

We stayed at the Sonesta Beach Resort, it was the North end of Sharm and took 20 mins to walk down a lovely promenade. Rooms that we were in were like bungalows had at least 7 rooms. I would highly recommend it, it is right on the beach, and everything close by, and the grounds huge and beautiful. The Sonesta Club is cheaper but rooms smaller and it is across a busy main road to the beach which is shared with Sonesta beach.
