He was most upset tonight,as he passed a shop keeper this afternoon, the man asked how much would you pay for this purfume in england,my son replied about £8.00...for a fake on a market.
With this the shopkeeper put it in his hand and said now choose one for your girlfriend...my son replied ,no thank you we dont need any.
With this the shopkeeper started swearing at him and his girlfriend saying xxxx you both and much worse...
This has now worried me as im am due to go to marmaris next week, and if this was to happen to me i think i would flip..im not so shy as my son....
Why oh why do they treat people in this manner it shows no respect and looks very bad ...my son has allready said he will never return to turkey because of this and the treatment of the shopkeepers in general ,he is now staying in his hotel for 2 days untill they return home...its such a shame it just puts people off returning....
I have been going to Turkey for many years and I lived there for a few years too and I never had anyone who said anything like that. Although I have never stayed in Marmaris it is not usual for shopkeepers to behave so badly. They do hassle sometimes but that is the worse I have heard. Try not to let it put you off going to Turkey, most people there are lovley.
not a row
