I know it has already been mentioned that if you buy anything from the Apple shop in Panjim you have to show them your passport.
I am thinking of going into Panjim to stock up on my husband's shirts from the shop Baron's. I haven't been there for two years so intend buying a few.
Does anyone know if I am likely to have to show them my passport if I pay by credit card?
not 100% sure but you may only be asked for id if they are still using a manual system not electronic what we used at home years ago and only now use as back up
Interested in what you say about buying shirts @ Barons in Panajim - do you by any chance have address for this shop? We're definitely wanting to have made some cotton shirts. Thanks for any help.
Hi I go to the same jewellers every year and first year he checked my passport but not since as now he knows me. Only problem I have ever had is with my credit cards. Despite ringing them before I went this year -still had problems - and quote from Halifax was "India is considered a high risk area"!! So I would take passport with you just in case! Also think the limit you can spend is around £250.00 on cc before they put "hold" on to check it is you.
All the taxi drivers know where Barons is.
They have two shops, one for ladies and one for men. The clothes are ready made. Some of the brand name shirts you can buy over here can be found in the shop but a lot cheaper than at home.
Thanks for that Sydney. Any other recommendations of where to have shirts made to measure - have emailed SuperTailors but no response yet!
