I'm looking for some feedback on any of the sites I've shortlisted below.
We've done quite a few French camp sites from Brittany all down the west coast to Biarritz but have never done the French med.
I've decided on the coast line between Marseille & St tropez and have shortlisted these sites based solely on the content of their web sites (often difficult to judge) and that they are within walking distance of a decent beach.
If anyone can comment on these sites from experience or know of nice sites in this area that I've not listed then I would appreciate your thoughts.
Apart from distance to beach the only other criteria I have is that I dont want to stay on one of those massive sites with hundreds and hundreds of pitches plus a few hundred caravans.
Just me and the wife going - last week of June 2006 for 2 weeks.
Thanks
Le Pont D'argens - Frejus
Paradis Des Campeurs - St Aygulf
La Presqu'ile - Hyeres
Clos Sainte Therese - Bandol
Parc Mogador - Sanary
Agay Soleil - Agay
but hear good reports of Clos Sainte Therese
when we stayed at Sanary we were the other side of the motorway so the site would not fit your walking distance to the beach criteria
I initially missed the fact that Clos Sainte Therese camp site is 4km from the beach so I will cross it off my shortlist.
One of the other sites (mogador) is in Sanary. Whats the ville and surrounding area like?
the beach areas are very geared up to tourism and are pretty with fair restaurants
just watch the prices in some places you'd think you were round th epoint at St Tropez
Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. Now where did I put that french phrase book?

I liked the train photo's especially the Duchess. I'm not a steam buff but have spent a lot of time working on the 6000 King George V loco a few years ago before it went to Swindon
